Perinatal Support

Veronique offers comprehensive support services for individuals navigating the emotional journey of pregnancy, miscarriage, birth, and parenthood. As a mother herself, she intimately understands the challenges and joys that come with these experiences. Her passion for perinatal emotional health stems from recognising the unique experiences that individuals can face during this period of transition.

Veronique acknowledges that the journey to parenthood can be an emotional rollercoaster, filled with highs, lows, and everything in between. She understands that it truly takes a village to raise a child and is committed to providing a supportive community for her clients.

It's essential to Veronique that mothers receive the attention and care they require during this time, as they often find themselves overlooked while the focus shifts to the baby. It is estimated that up to 1 in 5 women experience anxiety and/or depression during pregnancy or following birth, highlighting the importance of prioritising maternal mental health.

Trained in the Solihull approach, Veronique focuses on harnessing the strengths of parents to cultivate strong and meaningful connections between parents and their babies. She recognizes the pivotal role that a mother's mental health plays in the family dynamic and takes a non-judgmental approach to listening to her clients' needs and goals. Veronique works collaboratively with individuals to help them achieve their desired outcomes and navigate the challenges they may encounter along the way.

Veronique offers a range of support options, including telehealth, video consultations, and face-to-face visits, depending on the client's location and preferences. To explore the support options available and begin the journey towards enhanced emotional well-being during the perinatal period, individuals are encouraged to reach out to Veronique directly.

We need to take care of our mental health in much the same way as we take care of our physical health. Sometimes, simple self-care practices like getting enough sleep, engaging in enjoyable activities, or connecting with friends and family can significantly improve our mental well-being.

However, there are times when seeking support from a mental health professional is necessary, just as you would visit a doctor for physical ailments. There is no shame in this. On the contrary, it takes strength and courage to reach out and talk to someone about how you’re feeling, and what you’re thinking.
